Carell, Aniston & Hudson invited to join Oscar group

people who have been invited to join the ranks of voters for the movie
world's most sought after prizes, the Oscars, a statement said

LOS ANGELES (AFP) - Jennifer Aniston and Daniel Craig were among 115
people who have been invited to join the ranks of voters for the movie
world's most sought after prizes, the Oscars, a statement said Monday.

Craig, best known for playing British superspy James Bond in "Casino
Royale" and "Friends" star Aniston were among several actors invited to
become voting members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Best supporting actress Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson and fellow
"Dreamgirls" star Eddie Murphy were also invited to join, along with
"Little Miss Sunshine" funnyman Steve Carell, an Academy statement said.

"These individuals are all exceptionally accomplished in their respective
fields," said Academy President Sid Ganis. "We're looking forward to
having them join the Academy's ranks."

The Academy's voting membership is about 6,000.

Other notable invitees child star-turned-Oscar-nominee Jackie Earle Haley
and Oscar nominees Adriana Barraza and Ryan Goslin
